About me

I'm deeply convinced, that there are many different ways to tackle a problem. For me, the Traditional Chinese Medicine offers the optimal support since it focuses on the patient as a holistic entity and includes also his or her personal environment and not only the symptoms.

I was born in Zurich in June 1974. After high school, I graduated from the Hotel Management School in Zurich and worked for more than twenty-three in the gastronomy and real estate management.

I have always been very fascinated by individuals as a whole and with a medical flair in my background, I decided to start studying TCM in 2015. I am still very happy about this decision, since a new and exciting path opened up for me; and the journey still continues.

About TCM

Traditional Chinese Medicine is a healing technique that has been practised for more than 2500 years. It originated in China and has been further developed over a long period of time. TCM enjoys a high reputation in China and the entire Asian region. Since about 1970, TCM methods, in particular acupuncture, have become more and more established also in Europe.

The two most influential concepts in the philosophy of TCM, especially Daoism, are Yin and Yang. These components embody polar opposite forces, which on the one hand depend on each other but at the same time complement each other. Neither can exist without the other. Only when Yin and Yang are in balance, the life energy ‒ the so-called Qi ‒ can flow unobstructed through the human body. The human being is healthy. Diseases arise when the Yin and Yang system is impaired and the Qi begins to accumulate. The treatment always aims at getting the Qi flowing in the body in order to harmonise the imbalance.
